Dirt is Dirty

James learned an important lesson today, though he didn’t respond exactly as I would have hoped. He ate his first handful of dirt – based on his reaction, I wouldn’t have guessed that he enjoyed it. However, he didn’t stop at one, and had a few more tastes of dirt before I eventually put down the camera and coaxed him away from the garden. Let’s hope that his dirt-enhanced immune system helps keep him healthy for a long time.
