We enjoyed an unusually warm fall day by heading out to the park for a walk. You can’t see him here, but Luke was Bjorn’ing on Michele’s front side.

Femur Time
I’m not particularly skilled in comforting young children, and I don’t really have a soft, curvy body for a baby to nestle in to. I do however have reasonably long femurs, which lets me hang out with Luke (and James before), letting him lay comfortably and see me eye to eye. It’s usually one of my favorite times of the day. Here’s a photo of one of our recent visits.

Luke is 3 Months Old
We celebrated Luke’s 3 month birthday yesterday. The fourth trimester is over and we’re ready to roll. First stop? A ten hour long sleep through the night. Awesome.
I guess it’s better to be the pusher than the pushee. This is apparently how James and his new best friend play. 
What was supposed to be a quick and quiet visit to the library turned into a three hour Halloween adventure today. Cookie decorating and eating, face painting, pumpkins, the whole deal. Thanks to the skilled hand of Sue the volunteer painter, James got his very first full sleeve temporary arm tattoo. He loved it.
Luke has been watching Lala’s birthday balloons closely since they arrived here last weekend.

Bottle Duty
We’re not exactly thrilled to have nightly bottle duty as part of the routine again. Tough job, but somebody has to do it.
It’s hard to believe, but Luke has already begun at daycare. His first day was on Monday. So far, so good. He likes the daycare ladies and barely sleeps while he’s there, just like his big brother three and a half years ago.
