Here’s a blast from the past – April 2014 to be specific. I’ve finally pulled together some video clips from our trip to San Francisco and Santa Cruz.

Happy April 17th Birthdays!
James and I put together a quick video to wish a happy birthday to Angela and Racquel. Sorry Aunt Mary, I didn’t get your name into the video, but we’re thinking about you too. Happy April 17th!
It’s been quite a while since I shared a video of James – I don’t have the video evidence to prove it, but you’ll have to trust that he’s been a busy little fella. He’s been talking more and more lately, and his imagination has been developing quickly as well. Last night at bath time, he quickly switched from hoarding all of his toys to organizing them, to having them move about and make their own sounds. Fun stuff.
The Flood boys had a nice trip to the dog park this morning. After doing a lap in the stroller, James decided that it was time to get out and stretch his legs. The little guy sure likes to run.
Yesterday we had a chance to let James mix two of his first loves … dogs (aka ‘woof’) and balls (aka ‘BALL!’) with a trip to the park to throw the ball for Frank. As you can see, James is a bit more excited about the ordeal than Frank. I think Frank prefers the chase involved with a longer throw rather than the fast reactions needed to survive a ball thrown at his face from two feet.
Yesterday, we took James to Gordon Park so that he could have a chance to splash in the water and enjoy the warm weather. As it turned out, the swings were the biggest hit of the day. Watch the video and see if you can spot the happy kid.
A typical evening with James … a bit of eating, laughing, wandering and exploring.
A Football Moment with James
James likes footballs. James does not like tall grass. Sometimes that creates a problematic situation that can best be dealt with by enthusiastic finger pointing.
Slow and steady wins the race, or so they say. James was walking slow and steady up the hill to the daycare parking lot yesterday. In addition to his obvious physical prowess, he’s started to notice things like shadows and sunbeams, which is fun too.
This little guy just won’t stop walking …
