James is Canadian
When Michele dressed James today she made sure that he had lots of Canada clothes on. This is the first time we’ve ever been able to get him to keep the tuque on his head for more than a few seconds. I guess the fact that he had mitts on and couldn’t use his fingers must have helped.

50 Weeks Later
One of my favourite photos from the past year is our first family photo, a self portrait taken with some help from the bathroom mirror. James was one week old. One week away from his first birthday, we took an updated version of the photo. Can you spot many differences?
Somehow our little guy has turned 51 weeks old, and has grown up a whole lot along the way.
Today is the first snow day for James where daycare is closed. He and I are at home, hanging out, playing, eating snacks, and hopefully having a nap or two. That’s him that should have a nap or two, not me.
No photo or video evidence, but we just saw James take his first two steps. Definitely intentional and ended in a happy crash landing into Michele’s lap. To celebrate, we had him try on my hard hat.

Another Day in a Red Shirt

Poor old Frank doesn’t get much love on this website, but he’s still a big part of our lives. Not content to settle for scraps on the floor, he’s begun working harder for his peas, tofu and Cheerios.
