James is staring intently at his Momma.

James has continued to be a happy morning baby. Even if his morning starts at 3:30, he’s pretty happy to see you, and is definitely willing to shoot some smiles around.

James was in a good mood, and feeling photogenic – here are a few of my picks for the day.

While I’ve been doing my best to continue to take lots of photos of James, I haven’t been posting many (any) of them here. Better late than never, here are some of my picks from the last week or two.

It’s been a long, rough sixth week with James. Fortunately he’s enjoying a quiet moment now, hopefully a sign of things to come.

Our little guy seems to have many different looks depending on the time of day, his level of excitement, the angle, and probably a million other things. Here are a couple of his recent looks.

We’re still not entirely sure how Frank feels about James, though he does seem to be curious about our new house guest. Here, he watches over a play session.

James is spending more and more of his awake time just laying back, and watching things in his ‘Activity Center’. He hasn’t discovered his hands yet, but his eyes are definitely focusing on things, and he’s beginning to find his voice.

We’ve successfully navigated the first month of parenthood. James is alive and thriving – we’re alive and sleep deprived. I guess that’s the way it goes at this stage.
