My Hands

James brought this home from daycare – he was pretty proud of the painting, telling us that it was a turkey, and naming all of the colors several times. He’s definitely left his share of fingerprints around the house … and I know we’ll miss them when they turn into big fingerprints.

A Fall Leaves Moment with James

Hard not to love seeing this little guy playing in the leaves on a warm, windy, fall day.

Brush Your Teeth

Sometimes James likes to brush his teeth. Sometimes he likes to pretend to like brushing his teeth. You decide which one this was:

Escape

For the record, James just completed his first successful crib escape. No apparent injuries and he’s not yet willing to discuss how he did it. We’re hoping that this is a onetime thing. We’re not ready for him to be in a regular bed (again)!

A Great Weekend

We had a great weekend together. How could we not? Perfect weather … a birthday party with balloons and cake, a morning of apple picking and pony rides, an evening of laundry hijinks and then wrap it all up with a few minutes on a swing and a bowl of ice cream. Perfection.

Rudolph

Today’s lesson: if you push a flashlight into your nose hard enough, it turns your nose red.
