We had a good first night with Luke. He’s been a pretty peaceful guy so far. Here are some photos from his first morning.
A few hours ago, we drove to the hospital, and now we have a baby. Luke Gerald Flood didn’t want to wait. Labor started quickly and before we knew it, we were holding Luke. So many thoughts to think, so little time.
He’s healthy, whole and amazing. We can’t wait to get to know him. Anxious to see how his first meeting with his big brother goes tomorrow.

Not Bad for an Old Guy
I’ve completed two triathlons this month. I started training for them in January, largely as a way to motivate myself to be fitter, with the long term hope of being able to defend myself from James’s ever strengthening surprise attacks. I found a great coach who helped me up my game with short but frequent workouts. I celebrated my 40th birthday with my first ever road triathlon, as yesterday raced in my second Xterra off-road tri. Not something that I ever would have envisioned myself doing, but I seem to enjoy them … And the fitness that comes along with the training. Decent results do seem to help with motivation too.
