James has finally had a chance to see his cousin, Kyle. Not a lot of interaction between the two, but I’m sure that will change as the boys age.

Highlights from Colorado
We managed to sneak out for a quick vacation to Colorado. It was a great trip, and James showed us that he’s a natural at the travel thing. No problems on the plane, and lots of smiles for everybody he met along the way. Here are a few shots from the road.

Healthy Baby
We just came back from James’s two month (eight week, actually) checkup. Once again, we were assured that he is a healthy baby. He was putting on his best face, smiling and cooing for almost an hour, non-stop. He had the doctor and nurses in the palm of his hand. He was a little less pleased when the vaccination needles went into his legs, but I guess that is to be expected.
Official measurements have him at 22 inches, one inch longer than a month ago. His weight is up to 10.5 pounds, a gain of two and half pounds. Great news all around. We’ll see how the rest of the post-vaccination day goes.
